Codex adopts standards on chicken meat and allergen labeling

Guidelines related to Campylobacter and Salmonella in chicken meat and Listeria monocytogenes in certain foods have been approved at the latest meeting of a global food standards setting body.

The Codex Alimentarius Commission was established by FAO and the World Health Organization (WHO). It is responsible for setting food standards to protect consumer health and facilitate fair practices in food trade.
