Understanding burden is ‘just the beginning’, says WHO group

A World Health Organization (WHO) group has urged food safety stakeholders to turn evidence into action, adding that understanding the burden of foodborne disease is only the beginning.

In a statement to mark World Food Safety Day, the WHO Alliance for Food Safety called on governments, international organizations, academic institutions, and public health agencies to work together to accelerate progress toward safer food everywhere.
