Low meat thermometer use prompts barbecue warning

An Irish survey has revealed low use of a meat thermometer when cooking burgers, sausages or chicken breasts.

Findings prompted Safefood to remind people to use a thermometer to make sure grilled meats are cooked to at least 75 degrees C (167 degrees F).
