On day two of the Eater Advent Calendar, unwrap a moment of squee for any Pyrex collector or fan
Over the past several years, I’ve amassed a pretty respectable collection of vintage Pyrex dishes, and I’m only one of many collectors obsessed with the classic brand’s cheery, colorful prints. As such, I’ll definitely be hanging this adorable Christmas ornament from Etsy on the most prominent branch of my tree. Designed to look like a stack of Pyrex mixing bowls, it’s available in a number of the iconic brand’s most popular patterns, including the totally ’70s Spring Blossom and pink Gooseberry.
It’s (obviously) perfect for any Pyrex collector in your life, but also great for anyone who loves baking, kitsch, or midcentury modern design. It would also be a really fun way to kick off yet another collection for myself — I can just imagine adding a tiny new stack of bowls to my tree every Christmas. And, at $30 each, it’s a whole lot cheaper than buying any of those super-rare Pyrex bowls I regularly covet on eBay.
No peeking! But check out what the Eater Advent Calendar has already revealed. And check back each day for a new clutch condiment, gadget, or nibble that, yes, makes an amazing gift — but these surprises are just for you.
