Pure Flavor Encourages Healthy Snacking on National Snack Day

In preparation for National Snack Day on March 4, Pure Flavor is running a weeklong “Snackathon” campaign that aims to celebrate the flavour, nutrition and fun of healthy snacking.

The campaign features an Instagram giveaway that will culminate at the Southeast Produce Council’s Southern Exposure trade show in Orlando, Florida, where Pure Flavor will showcase its range of greenhouse-grown fruits and vegetables. Pure Flavor hopes to encourage consumers to choose fresh produce as a snack option instead of processed snacks like chips.

The campaign includes a variety of digital content, such as an Instagram contest, snack board ideas, blogs, an e-book, and a new webpage. Pure Flavor has also created a daily #SnackBracket on Instagram stories, where consumers can vote for their favourite snack-sized product.

Pure Flavor is well-positioned to meet the growing demand for healthier snack options, with a recent report predicting that the global plant-based snack market will grow by 8.6% from 2022 to 2028. Tiffany Sabelli, director of sales for Pure Flavor, noted that the company’s survey found that 70% of respondents were likely to snack on tomatoes, indicating that the produce aisle is becoming a popular snack destination.

Chris Veillon, Pure Flavor’s chief marketing officer, emphasized the convenience of healthy snacking when the right ingredients are available. Pure Flavor is also sharing healthy snacking ideas, simple and delicious recipes, nutritional facts, product information, and activity sheets for kids.

The company’s Adopt-a-School program also includes promotional content with its weekly donations to partner schools across North America.
