Farmers’ Struggle: Biden Administration Criticized for Sending Billions to Foreign Entities While American Agriculture Suffers

An American farmer has voiced his concerns over the Biden administration’s alleged financial support to U.S. adversaries, including China and Russia, while domestic farmers struggle. John Boyd Jr., President of the National Black Farmers Association, criticized the administration during an appearance on “Fox & Friends First,” accusing President Biden of delivering “empty promises” to the farming community.

Boyd Jr. expressed dismay at the fact that American farmers are losing their farms, while the administration reportedly provides financial assistance to foreign entities. He cited the loss of over 10,000 farms in the United States last year and called on the government to prioritize helping American farmers first.

A recent report by Sen. Joni Ernst, R-Iowa, and Open the Books revealed that the White House has sent at least $1.3 billion to Chinese and Russian entities over the past five years. This includes $1.6 million awarded to Chinese food producers under the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s National School Lunch Program, which was designed to support American farmers.

The report also disclosed that millions of taxpayer dollars have gone to a Chinese software developer for military tech support, a Russian health insurance provider that has since been sanctioned, and Chinese agricultural companies. Additionally, the federal government provided $2 million to the Chinese state-run Wuhan lab studying bat coronaviruses.

Boyd Jr. urged Americans to recognize the “terribly wrong” situation being created by the Biden administration for the farming community. He argued that the administration’s actions are erasing American history by providing financial aid to adversaries while American farmers suffer losses and are forced to give up their farms, which often hold significant historical and sentimental value.
