Eater Video Wins 2024 Webby Award

Eater Video won in the Best Food and Drink Video for an episode of ‘Mise En Place’

On April 23, Eater Video won a Webby Award for Best Food and Drink Video for an episode of Mise En Place. The video was produced by Daniel Geneen, directed by Geneen and Murilo Ferreira, shot by Ferreira and Jay Simms, and edited by Lucy Morales Carlisle.

The winning episode, “How a Master Chef’s Brooklyn Restaurant Earned a Michelin Star in Its First Year,” brings viewers behind the scenes at Clover Hill, a Michelin-starred restaurant in Brooklyn Heights. The video follows executive Charlie Mitchell as he uses the expertise he learned from other top NYC restaurants to deliver diners a seafood-heavy tasting menu in an intimate setting.

Mitchell pulls inspiration for his menu from classic French dining, contemporary American cuisine, and the foods he ate with his family growing up. With this team, he serves dishes like fluke-wrapped spring rolls (which takes two days to prepare), farro porridge, poached salmon, and more.

This is Eater Video’s first Webby Award win. The Webby Awards have been celebrating online videos since its inception in 1996. Eater Video has also been previously recognized by the New York Emmys, the Daytime Emmys, the ASMEs, and the James Beard Foundation.
