NEW YORK, NY – (August 1, 2024): Archer Roose, the pioneering brand within the canned wine sector, is thrilled to announce the appointment of Conley Downing as their new Chief Marketing Officer. With over 17 years of experience in the spirits industry, Downing is a passionate and versatile commercially-minded marketing leader specializing in building, nurturing, and exiting early-stage brands.

Most recently, Downing served as the Head of Marketing at Pronghorn.co, a disruptive and innovative company backed by Diageo. In this role, she led the marketing efforts for Pronghorn and provided strategic consulting to 24 brands through the company’s accelerator program. She has also successfully marketed for several emerging and established spirits brands, including 21Seeds Tequila, which was acquired by Diageo, and Lobos1707 Tequila. Prior to that, Conley worked at Diageo for 5 years, where she led marketing for the grocery channel before managing brands like Deleon Tequila and Ciroc Vodka.

“It is a privilege to join the Archer Roose team. Archer Roose is a disruptor changing the perception of wine by bringing quality, convenience and transparency to the canned wine industry, all with a tremendous cool factor. I look forward to supporting the marketing efforts to further enhance Archer Roose’s presence and impact,” shared Conley Downing, Chief Marketing Officer of Archer Roose.

In her new role, Downing will oversee the brand’s marketing and communications strategy, focusing on expanding brand awareness and driving velocity. She will work closely with the Archer Roose Co-Founder and CEO Marian Leitner-Waldman to develop a marketing strategy that will meet its consumers where they are through the brand’s signature comedic and playful voice, and uphold its commitment to quality and transparency. Additionally, following the recent announcement of the brand’s award-winning research study with Cornell University, Downing will spearhead communication efforts to showcase the brand’s leadership in the industry.

“Conley brings a wealth of beverage experience to the team, and we are confident her ideas will be invaluable as we continue to grow,” stated Marian Leitner-Waldman, the CEO and Co-Founder of Archer Roose. “As we enter a renaissance in the wine industry, her expertise in innovative marketing is crucial for taking Archer Roose to the next level.”
