FreightTech companies offer groundbreaking tech solutions

Some of today’s most innovative companies in the logistics and technology industries showed off their products during FreightWaves’ Enterprise Fleet Summit on Wednesday.

Companies demonstrating their cutting-edge solutions included TTN Fleet Solutions, Voltera and MileMaker.

TTN Fleet Solutions

TTN Fleet Solutions helps customers achieve better business results with the company’s industry-leading vehicle maintenance and repair services.

The company offers emergency roadside assistance, towing and accident management, scheduled and preventive maintenance, software, and call center solutions.

TTN recently launched its FleetAssist Driver App, aimed at helping carriers and drivers manage breakdowns.

The app has direct, automatic access to information that can speed the process of managing breakdowns — such as vehicle identification number, year, make, model, color and geographic location.

The app is available in the Platform Science Apps + Integrations marketplace.

Voltera

Voltera, an electric vehicle infrastructure solutions provider, is focused on providing technology for autonomous, drayage and last-mile delivery fleets.

The company sites, builds and operates strategically located, fit-for-purpose EV charging facilities.

With equity backing from EQT, a Swedish global investment organization, Voltera is executing on a multibillion-dollar plan to help fleets that have a pressing need to power EVs at scale.

Voltera is also accelerating the development of hydrogen fueling infrastructure through a collaboration with electric truck maker Nikola. With the aim of supporting the full decarbonization of transportation, Nikola and Voltera plan to develop HYLA brand stations throughout North America.

MileMaker

MileMaker is a leading commercial truck rating and routing software.

The company recently launched its MileMaker Web App aimed at providing more efficient routing and mileage solutions.

“The MileMaker Web App is a browser-based application that requires no installation,” according to Chris Howard, MileMaker’s director of sales. “Everything I’m going to show you in the MileMaker Web App is powered by our brand new MileMaker API. In the web app itself, you can easily toggle between Guide 19, which is the industry standard router for truck mileage rating. You now also can go with Guide 20, which features a complete North American road network.”

The app helps everyone from shippers and carriers to freight brokers and 3PLs access traffic-influenced routing, satellite map overlays, door-to-door driving directions and personalization features to optimize shipping routes and mileage.
